History

The History section of the Android POS App displays open, closed, and queued batches. To access the History section, tap on the ‘History’ tab at the top of the Android POS App screen.

The first screen displays the current day’s total amount of transactions. Tap on ‘Today’s Total’ to also view ‘Today’s Sales’, ’Today’s Tips’, ‘Today’s Voids,’ and ‘Today’s Net Sales’. The first screen also allows you to access the following: Batches, All Transactions, and Orders.

History

Batches

Tap on ‘Batches’ under the ‘History’ tab of the Android POS App to view transaction batches. The first screen shows the following: Currently Open Batch, Queued Transactions, and Batch History.

Currently Open Batch

The box titled ‘Currently Open Batch’ displays the date the batch was opened. It also includes a summary of the total number of sales, refunds, and the batch total so far. Tap on the box ‘Currently Open Batch’ to view more details of the current open batch.

History

The ‘Open Batch’ page shows all transactions that have been captured within 24 hours of when the first transaction was made. Note: You can change when Batches will automatically close in the Merchant Console.

The top of the page shows a summary of the contents of the current open batch.

You can tap on each individual transaction to view more details of the selected transaction. On the transaction page, you can: view more options, view transaction details, and email the transaction.

View More Options

Tap on ‘Options’ on the upper right hand corner of the screen to do one of the following: Void Transaction, Quick Sale, or Refund.

History

  • Void Transaction: Tap on ‘Void Transaction’ to void the transaction which has not been captured yet. A confirmation of the voided transaction will appear. Tap on ‘Ok’ to return to the Open Batch page.

  • Quick Sale: Tap on ‘Quick Sale’ to process a new sale transaction with the same credit card information. Note: Only the sale amount can be edited.
  • Refund: Tap on ‘Refund’ in order to refund the amount of the specified transaction. Once the transaction has been successfully refunded, a confirmation of the refund will pop up.

View Transaction Details

Tap on the ‘Details’ button at the lower right hand corner of the screen to view all the details regarding the transaction including:

  • Transaction Result
  • Transaction Information
  • Transaction Source
  • Billing Address
  • Shipping Address

Tap on the return button of your android device to return to the Transaction’s page.

Email the Transaction

Tap on the ‘Email’ button on the bottom left corner to email the transaction details. Enter the email information in the respective fields and then tap on ‘Done’ to send the email.

Close Batch

When in the Current Open Batches screen, Merchants have the option to close the batch by simply tapping on the ‘Close’ button in the top right hand corner. A prompt will pop-up asking to confirm closing the batch. Tap on ‘Close’ to continue closing the batch

History

Queued Transactions

From the Current Open Batches page, tap on ‘Queued Transactions’ to view all transactions that are still in queue.

The Queued Transactions page shows all of the Auth Only transactions that still have not been captured. Note: Be sure Queued Transactions are captured before the Auth Only Transaction expires. Refer to your settings in the Merchant Console.

You can tap on each individual transaction to view more details of the selected transaction. On the transaction page, you can: view more options, view transaction details, and email the transaction.

View More Options

Tap on ‘Options’ on the upper right hand corner of the screen to do one of the following: Void Transaction, Quick Sale, Refund, or Capture Transaction.

  • Void Transaction: Tap on ‘Void Transaction’ to void the transaction which has not been captured yet. A confirmation of the voided transaction will appear. Tap on ‘Ok’ to return to the Open Batch page.

  • Quick Sale: Tap on ‘Quick Sale’ to process a new sale transaction with the same credit card information. Note: Only the sale amount can be edited.
  • Refund: Tap on ‘Refund’ in order to refund the amount of the specified transaction. Once the transaction has been successfully refunded, a confirmation of the refund will pop up.
  • Capture Transaction: Tap on ‘Capture Transaction’ to capture the transaction. Once the transaction has been captured, the transaction will move to the Current Open Batches page as well as the All Transactions Page.

View Transaction Details

Tap on the ‘Details’ button at the lower right hand corner of the screen to view all the details regarding the transaction including:

  • Transaction Result
  • Transaction Information
  • Transaction Source
  • Billing Address
  • Shipping Address

Tap on the return button of your android device to return to the transaction’s page.

Email the Transaction

Tap on the ‘Email’ button on the bottom left corner to email the transaction details. Enter the email information in the respective fields and then tap on ‘Done’ to send the email.

Batch History

From the Batches pages, you can view you the history of your closed batches by tapping on ‘Batch History’.

The Batch History page shows all of the batches that have been closed, both automatically and manually, within a two-month period.

Tap on ‘Refresh’ in the upper right hand corner to update your Batch History to include the most recent batches that have been closed.

In the Batch History page, Merchants are able to view the transactions of a specific batch. From there, they can view each transaction individually to view more options, transaction details, and email the transaction.

View More Options

  • Quick Sale: Tap on ‘Quick Sale’ to process a new sale transaction with the same credit card information. Note: Only the sale amount can be edited.
  • Quick Credit: Tap on ‘Quick Credit’ in order to refund the amount of the specified transaction. Once the transaction has been successfully refunded, a confirmation of the refund will pop up.

All Transactions

Tap on ‘All Transactions’ under the ‘History’ tab of the Android POS App to view all transactions. The All Transactions page shows you all transactions that have been approved, declined, or have an error.

In the All Transaction page, Merchants are able to view each transaction individually to view more options, transaction details, and email the transaction.

Orders

Tap on ‘Orders’ under the ‘History’ tab of the Android POS App to view all orders. The Orders page shows you all orders that are open, partially paid, paid, and cancelled orders.

Open Orders

Tap on ‘Open Orders’ under the Orders page to view all orders that are still open and have not been processed yet.

Tap on an order to continue the transaction. Tap on ‘Pay’ in the upper right hand corner to process the order.

If you tap on an open order but wish to cancel or keep the order open, tap on the return button of your android device. A pop up screen will appear asking if you wish to Cancel or Hold the order.

  • Cancel Order: Tap on ‘Cancel’ if you wish to cancel the open order. You will then be returned to the Open Orders page and the open order will no longer be there.
  • Hold Order: Tap on the ‘Hold’ option if you wish to keep the order open. You will be redirected to the Open Orders page and no changes will have occurred.

Partially Paid Orders

Tap on ‘Partially Paid’ under the Orders page to view all orders that have been partially paid but have a balance that is still due for payment.

Tap on the partially paid order to do one of the following actions: pay, email, refund, or view details.

  • Pay: Tap on ‘Pay’ in the upper right hand corner to pay the remaining balance of the split payment.
  • Email: Tap on ‘Email’ in the lower left hand corner to email the receipt to the customer.
  • Refund: Tap on ‘Refund’ at the bottom of the screen to refund the amount that has partially paid.
  • Details: Tap on ‘Details’ in the lower right hand corner to view the details of the partially paid order.

Tap on ‘Paid’ under the Orders page to view all orders that have been paid.

Tap on the paid order to do one of the following actions: email, refund, or view details.

  • Email: Tap on ‘Email’ in the lower left hand corner to email the receipt to the customer.
  • Refund: Tap on ‘Refund’ at the bottom of the screen to refund the amount that has partially paid.
  • Details: Tap on ‘Details’ in the lower right hand corner to view the details of the partially paid order.

Cancelled Orders

Tap on ‘Cancelled Orders’ to view all orders that have been cancelled. Tap on an order to view its details. On the order’s screen, you have the option to either reopen the order or view the details.

  • Reopen Order: Tap on ‘Reorder’ at the top right of the screen to reopen a cancelled order. Now you can continue the order and process the transaction.
  • Details: Tap on ‘Details’ in the lower right hand corner to view the details of the cancelled order.
